Helping to relieve poverty and distress amongst Brethren and their families is one of the 'foundation stones' on which Irish Freemasonry is built. Unfortunately in this new millennium it is still necessary for this work to continue. However in recent years, due to the increased generosity of Irish Freemasons, the 'charitable work' we engage in has been extended to assist non-Masonic charities thus allowing Society as a whole to benefit from "the labours of Irish Freemasons". In 2009 Leinster Lodge supported our Masonic Charities with record contributions:

Victoria Jubilee Masonic Benevolent Fund

The Masonic Welfare Fund

Masonic Havens

Freemasons of Ireland Medical Research Fund

In addition, Leinster Lodge maintains a seperate charity fund called The Harry Risk Memorial Fund (HRM). Worshipful Brother Risk was a member of Lodge 141 and Headmaster of The Masonic Boys' School in Clonskeagh, Dublin. The HRM is funded by the Lodge members and is available to assist with immediate care of our deceased members' families and local non-Masonic charities at the discretion of Lodge members.
